In patients who have a history of previous or active peptic ulcer disease and require a NSAID for the treatment of odontogenic pain, lansoprazole can be prescribed for the duration of the analgesic course to prevent the occurrence of gastric problems.
An appropriate 5-day regimen is:
Lansoprazole Capsules, 15 mg
